Hampton Court Palace

Hampton Court is South West from London just past Kingston on Thames.  It is about a 30 minute journey by train from Waterloo station. For information on admission charges, group rates and facilities for disabled visitors call 020 8781 9500 or visit the web site http://www.hrp.org.uk

Hampton Court Palace was built in the 16th century for Cardinal Wolsey who presented it to his master King Henry VIII.  The King enlarged the palace considerably and it was a royal residence in regular use until the time of George II

It is a monumental palace well worth a visit.
